The Survey Monument Register ProjectThe Survey Monuments Register Project was created by John Eggleston, Emeritus Surveyor on 2 May 2006. The Survey Monuments Register Project was undertaken by the Seniors Group of Surveyors ISNSW Inc. in conjunction with "The Pathfinders" Project created by Brian McCloskey and Bill Moore, Emeritus Surveyors. DefinitionThe Survey Monument Register records Heritage Items of interest relative to surveying and surveyors in the Colony and the State of New South Wales. Heritage Items include survey marks and monuments, plaques, memorials, graves but do not include maps, manuscripts, books, survey instruments, tools and equipment. AdministrationThe Survey Monument Register is a Data Base (Microsoft Word) being compiled and managed by the Survey Monuments Register Curator.
